Saturday Must Have Moment: Kaskey Kids Football Guys Sports Action Figures Boxed Set Review

HIGH-QUALITY SPORTS ACTION FIGURES THAT ENCOURAGE THE IMAGINARY PLAY OF CHILDREN

Kids have been playing with action figures for years. Sports have been a fundamental part of children’s lives forever. Kaskey Kids’ “Guys” and “Girls” combine both of these interests to inspire countless hours of entertainment.

Children control all the action all the time!

I recently had the opportunity to review the FootBall Guys Sports action figures from Kaskey Kids. First, keep in mind that the  Kaskey Kids Sports Action Figures boxed sets come with instructions explaining each sport and providing photos of various formations, but there are no specific rules or directions. The intent is to allow children to be able to sit down alone or with friends and play the way kids have played for years - using their imagination! That's part of the main design goal, which is to keep children's attention and encourage more creative and imaginary play.

My boys absolutely love this toy. We've had it for a few days now and they are more than enamored with it. I knew that my boys were going to like this anyway, as they like to play with those cheap plastic Army figures that hurt really bad if you step on them in the middle of the night. This toy is a great old fashioned toy with an updated, modern twist that inspires creative play and has kept my boys amused for hours. And they've played with these after school, electively foregoing TV or video games. I wondered if these were still my children because that is impressive. So many toys advertise "hours of fun." This one should smack that label right on the box, because it is probably the most played with toy at my house.

I was also impressed with the fact that these Kaskey Kids Sports Action Figures are much better quality, with better colors, and are very durable. Thank God for the case. Otherwise all of the pieces would be lost by now and its nice as the kids clean this up themselves by throwing everything in the box. They almost always use the "field" which is a  felt mat. Its been amusing to watch them incorrectly score touchdowns with down linemen instead of backs and receivers. They love setting them up and knocking them down, and just being boys.

Each Kaskey Kids Sports Action Figures boxed set comes with 26, two inch plastic Football players, a Referee, two Goal Posts and a 24" x 36" washable felt field. Each case contains two full teams.
There are also several varieties of  Sports Action Figures boxed sets; including Football Guys, College Football Guys (several popular teams available), Baseball Guys, Hockey Guys, Soccer Guys  and Girls, as well as affordable "refill" mini packs of  Baseball Guys and Football Guys.

I wish the box were a little bigger to fit the play mats better, but other than that, I have no complaints. My boys and nephews are already requesting the other sports sets, and I'd much rather buy these toys than spend a ridiculous amount of money this holiday season on techy toys that are expensive, need batteries and will end up broken and neglected in no time. My two girls, aged 11 and 13 have already added the Soccer girls kit to their Christmas list.

  1. Nice to see some figurines for kids not geared towards violence, like the GI Joes, or 'rescue' guys or action heroes- but figures that are doing something the kids themselves might actually do- play sports! Great toy encourages imagination AND physical fitness at the same time.

  2. This looks like great fun! I'm glad that there are still toys out there for kids that aren't electronic, that use imagination, and aren't totally violent. This is definitely a toy I would love to see more kids playing with.
