✮ Green Reviews✮ : A Must-Have for Back To School & Work

There are very few things I would argue that every environmentally-conscious traveler needs. But the Wrap-N-Mat is a must have. I would even go so far as to argue that every traveler and honestly, human being, needs a Wrap-N-Mat. The Wrap-N-Mat saves me money, time, and, most importantly, guilt.

So what is this Wrap-N-Mat? Essentially, it replaces a plastic sandwich baggie. Not only does it hold sandwiches, it’s great for burritos, pizza, graham crackers, pretty much any flat food.I learned that these super "green" wraps were created by a mother of 4, who realized there had to be a "green alternative" to the plastic sandwich bag

A new innovative solution to cling-film and plastic sandwich bags, the Wrap-N-Mat is a sustainable eco product which offers an intelligent alternative to the millions of disposable sandwich bags used every day.

Simple to use, you just fold it around the sandwiches or other lunchbox staples like biscuits or vegetable snacks, fold the cotton wrapper closed and secure with the Velcro strap. If that's not impressive enough, it also unfolds into a handy placemat measuring 33xm x 33cm which provides a practical and clean eating surface wherever you are and is big enough to catch any spillages.

The Wrap-N-Mat has a food safe PEVA lining which can be wiped clean in seconds. It can be hand washed in warm water or machine washed on a low temperature and air-dried.

Unlike plastic sandwich bags and cling-film the Wrap-N-Mat has been designed to last for many years so using it is a simple way to reduce waste going to landfill.

You say you have Tupperware for this? Well, a Wrap-N-Mat is nearly paper thin, saving invaluable space in your backpack or purse.

And since I can’t exactly buy one for each and every one of you, I can only urge you to check it out for your self.

Where can buy Wrap-N-Mats? ✮ I found the best sale recently when I ordered some more wrap-n-mat's at Nubius Organics, where they are marked down 25% off when you order 4, then use coupon code ECO20 for an additional 20% savings on top of that discount!✮ Or you can go through their official website for more variety on prints; go to to place your order and learn more about the product. Or go through Amazon for $7.95 for a PEVA lined Wrap-N-Mat . I know it may be a bit pricey initially, but ease the long term burden on your wallet, environment, and cabinet space by eliminating your dependence on plastic sandwich baggies. It was really nice to know that I was using less and really gaining more!

Lastly, I realize I sound a bit like a walking advertisement– but I received neither a penny nor a free Wrap-N-Mat in return for this post.

  1. I have never seen these before but I wonder if I would like them or not. I am so used to using the throw-a-way baggies but I know they are not good for the environment. This would be extremely good at the times when you 'run out' of the baggies so that is definitely a plus! How are you liking yours so far?
